Consulting & Coaching Services

Steps lead down to a rocky beach and the ocean. Scripture reads "Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety." Proverbs 11:14

Consulting

Consulting services are often the first step when crisis strikes, conflict emerges, or seasons of transition begin.

True Compassion can guide organizational leaders or individual members to gain their bearings to understand a challenging situation and determine next steps or resolution with confidence and integrity. Organizational leaders may choose consulting to address concerns within the organization, among staff, or to prepare them better to address specific issues faced by members. Individuals may also consult directly with True Compassion through referral by their organization.

When Is Consultation Helpful?

  • Workplace or Employee Concerns or Conflict

  • Family & Relationship Conflict

  • Recent Diagnosis or Mental Health Concerns

  • Sudden Loss or Grief

  • Investigations, Accusations, or Charges by Agencies or Law Enforcement

  • Notification of a Legal Claim or Legal Action

  • Consideration of Whether to Initiate Legal Action

  • Educational Disputes, Discipline, and Accommodations

Experience

Crystal has walked with individuals in each of these areas. She has advised in employment disputes and designed and revised workplace policies. She has guided individuals through marital conflict, divorce, and custody disputes. She has helped to navigate mental health concerns, including when to seek diagnosis, treatment options, dangerousness concerns, and civil commitment. She has extensive experience working with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and affected families, those impacted by the criminal justice and immigration systems, and other agencies. She understands the challenge of determining when protection and legal action is necessary, and the difficulty of facing a lawsuit. Crystal has worked with families facing conflict with the educational system over school discipline, civil rights, and accommodations.

Coaching services are helpful for those situations faced by leaders, employees, or individuals that are no less important, but may not be as imminent as those addressed in consulting.
